The notes on the violin Use this free online violin tuner to tune up your violin. This is for the standard GDAE violin tuning. Use your tuning pegs at the top of the violin to get close to the correct tone, and then use the fine tuners on the tail piece to do the fine tuning. The image on the right shows the notes for each string and also shows where the fine tuners are located.

Caution: If your violin is extremely out of tune or if you are replacing the strings on the violin, and tuning it the first time, you have to be careful. If this is the case then tune each string a little at a time and then go on to the next string. You want to keep the tension on each string fairly equal. The bridge is not glued or attached to the violin, it is held there by the tension of the strings. If the tension varies too much it might cause the bridge to collapse. Also while you are tuning pay attention to the bridge, it should always be perpendicular to your violing and be straight, not angled.

im a middle school violin player and this is sooooo helpful because it seemed llike my violin was always out of tune when i brought it home from school. But now my problams are gone!!!!! im so happy i can practice righ tnow it has been a blast so far and ive been playing since 4th grade!!! yeah thats a long time in my world anywaysssss....... so thanks to the makers or whatever yeah so bye... o by the way my name issssss

NO I'M SERIOUS!!!!!! she got 219!!!!!! we're having a follow up test so we can average the scores of the tests and find out the average score...but she SERIOUSLY did!!!!!!!!!!just because YOU'RE jealous of her (and i'm jealous - try living with a twin that smart), doesn't mean that you have to be sarcastic about it. anyway, nathuram godse was a weak, spineless, stupid little nationalist. If you're going to assassinate someone while they are on their way to addressing a prayer meeting, it means you're WEAK :(

also because the notes on here are a little automatic sounding after tuning it if you have a good ear and listen to the notes you can hear a resonance that only comes when u play the right note..

omg my twin and i just got our iq scores. my twin sister got 219!!!!!!!!!! shes so annoying! i only got 189. shes so annoying!!! grrrrrrr! and she has perfect pitch. and she can read books 4.2 times faster on average than the average reader. AND she can do things like 58473376x57365908 in her head in under 20 seconds. and im just sitting there like what the hell. and she can compose music that is just ADORED ALL over everywhere she plays it! shes SOOOOO annoying!! did i mention she can play 6 instruments?? grrrr not a happy day
