all instruments serve a purpose in self learning and sounds. i say play em all some and pick one or two to focus on

I play the Bass. Not the Bass Guitar. The Bass and I needed to tune and this is the best thing that I could find. But i still play electric guitar also but I needed to tune it. I don't even think my Bass is tuned the right way now that i think about it.

I switched from guitar to bass as I always liked the bottom sound. I am a better bass player than I ever was a guitar player. You cannot compare the two that closely.

it helps if you know guitar but if you don't you can still learn learn tabs first then learn how to play the intro of longveiw then learn notes idk but it helped me alot

I have played drums, lead guitar and now bass. To say that it is for people who can't play guitar is crazy. As a matter of fact if you can play bass then your guitar playing will improve because then you are aware of the foundation of the song and won't loose your timing. Guitarist were created to go off on tangents but a guitarist will always find their way back to the song and be in sync with the rest of the band.

bass rules. A band is only as good as the bassist's right hand and the drummer's right foot. If they're not locked together, the band will stink.

Bass is for those who are able to learn the scales. Bass is for those who have a good sense of rythm. Bass is for those who are sensitive to the music and know when to play soft or hard, slow or fast. Bass is not as easy or boring as it looks. Bass players are much more respected these days. I play bass, acoustic and piano. Because the bass notes are so low its difficult to tune with the ear. Best to get an electronic tuner.
